Developing a new ship type is a key step for HID in transforming from a 'build-to-draw' manufacturer into a technology-focused company that 'offers solutions'. The main R&D cycle for the new ship type is expected to be 18 months.
HID Shipyard has partnered with dredging experts from New Zealand to set up a **joint research lab**, and the preliminary basic design is nearly complete. If subsequent model testing and detailed design proceed smoothly, HID plans to formally launch the **first ship construction plan** for this ship type in 2028 and start taking pre-orders from shipowners worldwide.
In the future, HID will continue to increase R&D investment, further expand the advantages of HID brand dredgers in terms of production efficiency, maintenance frequency, and fuel efficiency, and create more value for customers.
At the same time, HID will continue to build the global service network to provide more efficient and reliable service guarantee for global HID users.
